Robert Pahlavan, MBA, CEO -- Robert Pahlavan has had a long career as both an operator and investor in services and technology businesses across the wellness and healthcare spectrum. He is passionate about the power of technology to help meet the needs of agencies today while also providing a vision for tomorrow. Most recently, Rob was a Managing Director with Family Equity Partners, where he focused on buying and operating both Healthcare Services and Technology companies. He holds a MBA from Stanford University.
Michael R. Kramer, Ph.D., P.E., Founder – Dr. Kramer, co-founder of HealthWyse, has over 20 years experience in the medical products industry. Prior to founding HealthWyse, Dr. Kramer was President of Teledyne-NIM, a medical products company. He spent 19 years with Hewlett-Packard’s Medical Products Group in a number of senior management positions. Dr. Kramer, as General Manager, was responsible for starting the Clinical Information Systems business unit within Hewlett-Packard and for a number of years was responsible for research and development operations for Hewlett-Packard’s patient monitoring business unit. Dr. Kramer holds a BSEE from the University of Dayton and an MS and a Ph.D. from Ohio State in Electrical Engineering with a major in Biomedical Engineering.
Andrew S. Braunstein MSEE, CTO – Mr. Braunstein, co-founder of HealthWyse, has been a professional in the software industry since 1985, and has focused on the field of clinical information systems. Prior to undertaking the challenges at HealthWyse, Mr. Braunstein was Director of Applications Development at Vectis Corporation, a developer of wireless clinical systems for the physician outpatient market. In his nine years with Hewlett-Packard's Medical Products Group, he was an architect for Hewlett-Packard's Clinical Information Systems product line. He also did pioneering work in developing HP's 100LX handheld for clinical applications. While at HP, he was awarded two patents in managing medical information. At HealthWyse, he has received one patent with two more pending. Mr. Braunstein has been an invited Speaker at multiple Forbes CIO conferences, the TEPR conference, and the Symposium on Operating Systems Principles. He is a member of the Sybase iAnywhere Customer Advisory Board and was selected by Sybase to present to financial Analysts. Mr. Braunstein is a graduate of MIT, where he received three degrees. He has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from MIT's Computer Science Department and a degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management with a specialty in Management Information Systems.
Robert J. Anders, Vice President of Product Development - Prior to joining HealthWyse in 2000, Mr. Anders spent 26 years in electronic health record development at the Hewlett Packard Medical Products Group. While at Hewlett Packard, Mr. Anders held both architectural and engineering management roles developing EHR systems for hospital ICU, general floor, and operating room environments. At the end of his Hewlett Packard tenure, he worked on real-time patient monitoring systems managing a team of fifty engineers delivering over $120M in annual revenue. At HealthWyse, Mr. Anders led the development of FinanceWyse seamlessly integrating a billing function into the home care workflow. He has a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Ross Sullivan, Controller
-- Mr. Sullivan has more than 20 years of extensive financial and
operational experience in various high technology software and services
companies. In his role as Controller, he is responsible for
HealthWyse’s
finance, accounting, and human resource functions. Prior to joining
HealthWyse Sullivan was Vice President of Finance at NaviNet, a leading
healthcare technology company that was acquired by Lumeris.
Sullivan's experience also includes senior finance roles at growing
software companies
including PHT Corporation, RulesPower Inc. and Elron Software. He holds a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and is a
certified public accountant.
Douglas Caira, Senior Director of Client Services --Mr. Caira has over 10 years of professional management experience in healthcare technology and services companies. He was a member of the senior leadership team of eScription, Inc., a leading provider of computer-aided medical transcription software. At eScription Caira was responsible for building and overseeing the client and professional services organization, scaling it to a team of 135 supporting over $100M in annual revenues. He also built the client services function at Proventys, Inc., a VC-backed developer of personalized decision support technologies for oncology and cardiology. Caira holds a B.A. in computer science from Brandeis University.
Ellen O'Brien, Senior Director of Marketing -- Ms. O'Brien has spent more than fifteen years driving integrated marketing programs for B2B technology and healthcare companies. Experienced in building effective lead generation programs, she has helped to build sales pipelines working with inside and outside sales teams to meet aggressive growth targets. Her background includes clinical management experience and she holds a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University.
